Assessments

We provide residential placements for the purposes of parenting assessments. We offer a supportive and safe environment where our parents receive tailored support to both learn to parent and re-parent utilising theories derived from research studies focusing on the impact of adverse childhood experiences and trauma-informed practices.

Our primary aim is to work closely with parents so that they can provide safe and ‘good enough care’ at a minimum for their children understanding this is what our parents desire hence their engagement with the programme.

Assessments are provided by our own dedicated and experienced social workers and are based on child and client needs and requirements. Our social work team have extensive experience that covers a broad spectrum of social work practice, therefore, you can be confident that a fair, balanced, robust evidence-based assessment will be completed where your strengths are commended and vulnerabilities are mitigated through support and learning.

We have a team of key workers specifically selected to assist parents to achieve their goals and full potential within a set period of time. We will give parents the opportunities to develop their skills and to learn from difficulties they have experienced in the past in order to reach positive outcomes for our families.
